It's been a while hasn't it?

Just some updates I guess. Since my life is generally boring. Actually, for the summer I've been working as a student researcher at my college. I'm working under our amazing botany/biology professor Dr. Egan. (Look him up in BioOne or other fun Botony databases!) He has several publications out in various journals and he's working hard to get me my first publication. We are working on two experiments at the moment. The first experiment that we ran was testing salinity and how it affects germination in Capsicum annuum (also know as chili peppers). The labwork is actually finished, and we are almost done with the write up. Our second experiment, which was really my idea-ish *feels proud of self* we are test salinity on Capsicum growth and how it affects the production of the chemical capsaicin. (Which by the way for all you non-science-y people, thats the oil in the peppers that gives it that spicy taste.) Right now we are in the germination stages of that experiment. Personally I'm really excited to use the HPLC, but I'm still searching and developing a good protocol for it. Someday, I guess. v_v'

On other news, I decided to do an art collab with my dear friend EE-chan over at DA. She's very talented, and her CGing has a lovely painty feel to it. Actually I think this our first collab and I wonder how it will turn out. Of course I was being rather selfish... I just wanted to draw her neat characters. <-alternative motive. It also turns out that since the last time I posted I've become addicted to World of Warcraft. REALLY addicted. Although I must admit that it comes in little fits. I will play nonstop for days (given I still go to work and all that jazz, but thats beside the point) and then I won't get on for days. Weird huh? Well, anyways, I uploaded a pic of my character in Booty Bay.
